Barack Obama’s victory has enthused millions of people across the globe. But anti-war activists should be careful not to cheer him too loudly. Much was made of his claim to want to meet Iran’s president Ahmadinejad “without preconditions” to sort out the ‘disagreements’ . Read her heart-rending tale here: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/opinion/2008/1119/1....html Sarah tells us that when reading anything in a newspaper, we had better be asking ourselves who is writing it and what is their agenda. Quite so. read full story / add a comment

It has come to the attention of the John Mitchel Cumann of Republican Sinn Féin in County Derry that rumours are circulating in the Dungiven area that members of the organisation were responsible for the removal of posters supporting singer Eoghan Quigg’s ‘X Factor’ campaign. Following a thorough investigation, it has been established that there is no truth to such allegations. read full story / add a comment |
