BY what democratic right do Sinn Fein justify the continuing existence of the Provisional IRA. The DHKC, a revolutionary group from Turkey, describes how the UK's Terrorism Act 2000 is being used for repression and blackmail directed at the Turkish-speaking minority, particularly in London. Shopkeepers especially are being harassed by police in an attempt to get them to turn informer. Copts (Christians of Egypt) are not asking for special treatment to compensate for centuries of discrimination and persecution. They are only asking for equality. They don't want anything more, and they will not settle for anything less. It is hard to believe that , at the turn of the 21st century,equality to Copts remains a luxury they still dream of. This at a time when the rest of the civilized world considers equality a birth right to be taken for granted. read full story / add a comment
