The revelation that none of the Poles seeking enlistment in the RUC were successful in their applications gives them the opportunity to reconsider allowing themselves to become involved with the British Forces of Occupation. The Polish people have a proud tradition of opposing collaboration within their own borders, and so too should they oppose it here in Ireland. read full story / add a comment

A couple of months ago the story of Thomas Kennedy's unlawful imprisonment was carried on Indymedia. In the meantime he remains in prison being periodically brought back to Judge Olive Buttimers Court. He believes he is unjustly imprisoned and Judge Buttimer states she will keep him in prison until he changes his mind. Justice, the Kennedy family and the tax payer is the loser in Olive Buttimers merry-go-round. This is todays episode. read full story / add a comment

Any visit to Ireland by Elizabeth Windsor is unacceptable and deeply offensive whilst her government and Armed Forces maintain England's Occupation of six Irish counties. Relations between Ireland and England can never be normal whilst such a crime continues to be perpetrated against this country and her people. Comments made in Lisburn by the 26-County Head of State are clearly designed to pave the way for such a visit. read full story / add a comment

A great moral victory for anti-car activists such as critical mass types & reclaim the streets sorts has just been reported. The Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant People (of the Holy See - Vatican) has issued a 36 page pamphlet entitled "Guidelines for the Pastoral Care of the Road" which include a dinky ten guidelines already being dubbed "commandments" by cheeky secular cynical men and women of little faith in media organisations such as the BBC & Car magazine.

na lig sinn i gcothú.......I'd just like to highlight the good bits - "We know that as a consequence of transgressions and negligence, 1.2 million people die each year on the roads" remarks
Cardinal Renato Martino who is the Roman Catholic's man on itinerants and migrants. You'll note that itinerants covers a range of gypsies, travellers, refugees, SUV mothers of 2 and commercial travellers.

The finding of the BBC's “State of Minds – The Children” programme that sectarianism is rife amongst children is unsurprising within the context of continuing English rule in Ireland. The English government has always sought to divide and conquer, and this has been no different in Ireland. Furthermore the 1998 Stormont Agreement served to institutionalise sectarianism. read full story / add a comment

In a recent interview published in the Washington Post, former US secretary of state Colin Powell said that the US "didn't have enough troops" in Iraq to restore order following the ill-fated US-led invasion. In saying this, Powell is not revealing anything, but in fact concealing plausible accounts of American soldiers actively inciting Iraqis to plunder public buildings at the time of the invasion. read full story / add a comment

While journalists writing on the front page of the Irish Times have reproduced the Department of Foreign Affairs' official line that the US military traffic at Shannon is taking place under a mandate from the United Nations, a close look at UN Security Council Resolution 1483 shows that there is more plausibly a mandate for Ireland to opt out of the US war of occupation in Iraq, because this has created conditions of persistent instability and insecurity there.

The person/s (activists, perhaps assassins) the agencies seek in relation to the approaching APEC summit may be known to the activist and broader political community; it is therefore with extreme prejudice that we cite government failures in relation to security and policing matters. The APEC summit may become the greatest security failure in Australian history. Infiltration/undercover operations are a two-edged sword; however, that sword has been broken by anti-corruption zealots in NSW. The State now faces gaping inefficiencies and a lack of urgently required expertise. read full story / add a comment

On Saturday June 23rd Belfast ABC will be hosting an evening in support of Mumia Abu Jamal who's fate hangs in the balance amid colliding appeals by both prosecution and defence the outcome of which could see either the quashing of his bogus conviction for the shooting dead of a Philadelphia policeman 26 years ago or indeed the reinstatement of his death penalty which was dropped in 2001.
