English queen not welcome while Ireland remains occupied.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Any visit to Ireland by Elizabeth Windsor is unacceptable and deeply offensive whilst her government and Armed Forces maintain England's Occupation of six Irish counties. Relations between Ireland and England can never be normal whilst such a crime continues to be perpetrated against this country and her people. Comments made in Lisburn by the 26-County Head of State are clearly designed to pave the way for such a visit. Such hostile political stunts cannot achieve peace and prosperity for the Irish Nation, which can only come about through a full British withdrawal from Ireland. Protests such as those against the attempted Loyalist parade through Dublin's O'Connell Street and the recent Ireland-England Rugby match in Croke Park demonstrate clearly that there remains a significant body of opinion in Ireland opposed to these fraudulent attempts to portray relations between Ireland and England as normal and the constitutional issue as having been “resolved”. |
