It is well known that supporters of Israel dominate the American media. However, people in Europe should be alert to the fact that the Israel lobby exists here also, and continually seeks to stifle information on what that country is up to. read full story / add a comment

Menachem Klein, an Israeli political scientist at Bar Ilan University near Tel Aviv, outlined the logic of Sharon's actions in a recent Christian Science Monitor article (March 13, 2003). "These raids can be a kind of rehearsal, with the idea to arrest someone, but also to see how to get in and out, what tactics to use. A rehearsal on live people. And the thinking is that if the world gets used to these short-term reoccupations, it will digest the long-term one." read full story / add a comment

Israel is to press George Bush to eliminate all reference to an "independent" Palestinian state from the US "road map" to a political settlement, which he promised on Friday to release soon. Ariel Sharon's government has drawn up a list of amendments it wants made. They include the replacement of independence by "certain attributes of sovereignty". read full story / add a comment

Blair is an evil lying monster. Why do we have to listen over and over again to his lies? It's driving me mad. Is "democracy" where we elect dictators? A huge power vacuum has been created - people who have been lied to and made to pay for a fascist war who no longer trust these so-called leaders - what are the plans to hold onto this anger, to advance a huge movement towards pulling these tyrants in suits from their pedastals? I don't know where to turn - apart from ramming my f*cking shoe into the nearest ignorant fascist Fianna Fail politician's face. Somebody give me an alternative. I have time and energy wasting away here..... (terms and conditions apply) read full story / add a comment

Full text transcribed. Bascially Bertie is proving that the only thing that's going to work is Direct Action. He's going to let the USAF continue to do the dirty on Ireland. It ought to obvious even to the meanest intellects in the anti-war coalition that the time for appealling to politicians and wringing of hands is over. read full story / add a comment

Women's Picket and Speak-Out at Renmore Army Barracks, Galway Wednesday 19th March @ 11.00 am sharp The Global Women's Strike calls on women and men to Strike Out Against War with a women's picket and non-party political grassroots speak-out at the Army Barracks in Renmore, Galway. All welcome. Bring relatives and friends! The Strike calls on all anti-war groups to organise similar pickets at local army barracks, Garda stations and other sites of support for this war - Shannon airport, government offices, the Dail, arms manufacturers and companies making 'dual purpose' materials. Already, women and men in Derry are giving a lead by picketing Raytheon, the giant arms manufacturer every week. On Monday, non-violent direct action began to sweep the United States, from Washington DC in the east to Los Angeles in the west, against the second war (Afghanistan was the first) aiming for a US military takeover of the world.... read full story / add a comment
