Boaz Rodkin - the consular official there wants the flag down and the Embassy has put up their own flag which was not apparent yesterday. The vigil is continuing tonight in the grounds of the embassy and those there are in regular contact with the two Irish girls now acting as witnesses in Palestine. One of them remains in Arafat's building where they are now confined to three rooms only. Those there call for support. Meanwhile peace marches are STILL going on in Palestine. More power to the Italian Delegation who are saying they will not leave till some form of International Observers replace them. read full story / add a comment

Fears have been expressed that an attack or bombing of imc palestine is imminent as the Israelis have realised that it is where most information from within the 'military zones' is coming from. This information has come from Mary Kelly - an Irish Civilian Observer in Bethlehem - via phone to a member of the IMC Ireland collective in the last hour or so. Any ideas on what can be done from here? read full story / add a comment

We, the undersigned, believe that a full-scale Israeli offensive throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) is imminent and that such an unprecedented attack demands from global civil society an unprecedented response. For this reason, we urge global civil society - including human rights organisations, solidarity groups, and individuals - to take immediate direct action to stop Israel's all-out war against the Palestinian people and Israel's 35-year belligerent military occupation of the Gaza strip and West Bank, including east Jerusalem. read full story / add a comment
