Round of Motor Insurance Justice Action Group (MIJAG) Public Meetings in about MIAB report

Friends

There are three major public events in the coming weeks. The campaigns in
Dublin, Cork and Limerick have organised Public meetings and invited the
Political parties along to explain what they intend doing on the car
insurance issue.

The Cork Meeting is Next Monday 8th in the Silver Springs Hotel at 8pm.

The Dublin meeting is on Thursday 11th in the Green Isle Hotel on the Naas
road at 8pm.

The Limerick Meeting is in the Royal George Hotel at 8pm on Monday 15th.

Following the meeting with the Political Parties the Dublin and Cork
meetings will discuss Election campaign work. A collection will be done for
David Greens Campaign in Dublin and people will be asked to get involved in
the leg work on the run up to polling day which is likely to be May 9th or
10th.

Anyone who is around and can help with the postering for the Dublin meeting
should call up to 78 Whitechurch Way, D16 at 12 noon next Saturday 6th.

See below the key campaign demands. These are not finalised and if you think
we have made a glaring omission please reply.

No driver with a clean driving record including beginners paying over ?1,000
for car Insurance.
The Personal Injuries Assessment Board to be set up.
People who are out of work due to injury to be paid by the state at the rate
they earned plus increases won in their last job. This should be taken into
account when making an award.
The Government should implement its own proposals on road safety in full.
Implement the MIAB Proposals.
