Why are climate alarmists so impervious to facts, so averse to rational cost-benefit analysis? It has all the hallmarks of a religious cult, says James Allan. They can't let it go because it gives meaning to their lives.

Campaigners for St Luke's Cancer Hospital in Rathgar thought that the decision not to make it the southside Centre of Excellence in 2005 which meant closure and a move to St James Hospital had been indefinitely suspended due to the local and national opposition.

But no, Minister Harney who always knows best ,has a Bill before the Dail at the moment with the innocent title Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2010 which will dissolve the board of St Luke's and transfer the valuable 18 acre site and the other assets to the dysfunctional HSE who might well sell the land at a bargain price to balance their books.

Anyone who cares about this great hospital needs to get onto TDs immediately especially John Gormley and Chris Andrews. read full story / add a comment

With over 500 members across the country and over 1500 skills in its resource bank mutantspace.ie is the largest independent resource of its kind in the country and is in the perfect position to provide free practical support to the development and production of this Revue. It is this alternative production system that lies at the heart of The Trash Culture Revue. It is this freedom to create that allows us to give people a new space in which to experiment, fail, make and play no matter who they are, where they are, what they do or when they do it.

The way the killings on board the MV Mavi Marmara have been reported in the mass media offers an interesting case study of one way in which the truth is often distorted by the mainstream, and it is a method that often involves not so much deception as obfuscation. read full story / add a comment
