Why are climate alarmists so impervious to facts, so averse to rational cost-benefit analysis? It has all the hallmarks of a religious cult, says James Allan. They can't let it go because it gives meaning to their lives.

There's a climate emergency, so cough up, say insurers. It hasn't stopped them raking in billions, notes Chris Morrison. And no wonder: weather losses are actually down compared to 35 years ago. Time for a bit of honesty?

Great to see things like this outside Galway for once. Galway's glutted with poetry readings, and it's great to see Noel again.

The nastiness of 'Ray' is familiar to anyone who has had to deal with small children in a school playground. He obviously has problems and none of them are with Mr Johnson. There's an anger there that goes deep. He looks at a video of some good poets and lovely music and his first reaction is hate. Trouble with this sort of damaged goods is that they infect other people. He's frightened above all, and hides behind fake names. More to be pitied.
