Last Friday night/Saturday morning I went out to Shannon to see what was going on. I spotted a BIG, GREY MILITARY AIRCRAFT with the words US MARINES painted on the side. It's 97 ft long, 132 feet wide, and 38ft high and mean looking. I knew it was some sort of Hercules aircraft, and obviously not part of usual Shannon traffic. I took some pictures, and some notes and here's what I found out. read full story / add a comment

This collection of reports that are directly from the various multitude of Protests happening in Washington DC over the weekend of April 20TH to April 22ND that ultimately are Protesting against the same evil that is the root cause of all the World's problems - Namely the cancer of Capitalism that weren't even reported by any of the mainstream corporate, capitalist press show that the Anti capitalist globalisation is alive and kicking in the USA and has made a very good recovery from the serious damage caused by the fallout from September 11TH. What's also even more encouraging was that the Demonstraters Rallied around and United into One Big Rally from their own seperate smaller Demos and they also Rallied around and United to Demonstrate together even though the Protestors represent a very wide multitude of groups, interests and many varied causes. read full story / add a comment

Whenever the official delegates from around the world travel to the meetings of the World Trade Organization (WTO), International Monetary Fund (IMF) or World Bank, they are regularly accompanied by thousands of uninvited guests intent on disturbing the meetings of these world market agencies, or if possible preventing them from taking place. The reason: they hold these institutions responsible for the tremendous misery throughout what is truly, since the end of socialism, "one world." In the name of poverty and those afflicted with it, this anti-poverty movement protests - and is thereby proud of maintaining "no ideology" and of making no attempt to clarify its understanding within its own ranks. Its protagonists are of the opinion that any theoretical dispute over the correct explanation of the conditions they denounce would only jeopardize the breadth of the movement. Those affected by poverty ought to know best what they suffer from and what read full story / add a comment

75-100,000 March Against Terror War Chanting "free, free Palestine", 75-100,000 protesters poured into the streets of Washington, D.C. Saturday. Many Protesters linked the struggle for Palestinian self-determination to resistance against global capitalism and the U.S.-led "War on Terror" that now extends around the planet from Colombia to West Africa to Afghanistan to The Phillipines... http://dc.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=21114&group=webcast full coverage at http://dc.indymedia.org read full story / add a comment

In response to the crass electioneering of the SWP it is time to call them on their bullshit.
