There will be a special meeting of Fairview Against the War on depleted uranium
(DU) weapons. The meeting is at Smyth’s Pub, Fairview, on June 9th at 8:30 pm.

The speaker is Henk Van Der Keur from the LAKA foundation in Amsterdam who has been working on DU for 10 years. He will describe the plane crash in Amsterdam in 1992 when an El Al “civilian” cargo jet crashed in to the Bijlmermeer apartment complex in Amsterdam shortly after leaving Schiphol airport. Residents of Bijlmermeer, emergency workers and even those involved in moving the aircraft parts and soil remediation all showed signs of auto-immune disease and radiation poisoning consistent with exposure to Depleted Uranium dust.

This is the end of Henk’s speaking tour and is a rare chance to meet an authority on this important subject. read full story / add a comment
