The biggest Protest yet against the US
Military use of Shannon Airport took place on Saturday 12th October.
After a pretty standard protest – (some pushing and shoving at the
entrance to the airport, speeches, an open mic, a funny standoff
between a group of public representatives and the Police, music,
chanting, a die-in) – a number of activists took down the fence
marking the airport perimeter and initiated a mass Trespass on the
grass beside a runway. read full story / add a comment

Romano Prodi, the allegedly corrupt, Church backed president of the allegedly corrupt EU Commission (a body in whose election I had no voice and over which I will have less control if the Nice Treaty passes), has demanded the allegedly corrupt Dail to be ready to explain any possible NO Vote and to confirm that what the "Irish people" _really_ mean is that they want enlargement. Yet the "EU sources" admit that rejection of Nice does NOT stop enlargement (see last paragraph). So is someone trying to fool us?! read full story / add a comment |
