In disallowed evidence during the course of a recent hearing on the subject of the Hill of Tara. Three experts signed affidavits that two disputed sites at Barronstown and Collierstown were national monuments. Bush and his ultra-right honchos are really pissed this time – in their efforts to track down a US loyalist, who spilt the beans on domestic spying, the Bush gestapo are now targeting journos and the free press. All the ‘security’ agencies at this megalomaniac’s disposal have been commandeered for the task. This attack on the free press is yet another devastating blow directed at the already battered body of American democracy and liberty. America, the home of the brave and the land of the free, has been relegated to the historical record. This new land is an abominable aberration of the original.

This week campaigners from Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) will be at stalls in Belfast, Dublin, Limerick and Clare urging locals to help bring about the end of animal circuses.

A giant ADI/ARAN billboard van will be touring Ireland highlighting the suffering of circus animals as part of an ongoing Irish campaign, which has already attracted much attention.

The campaign billboard will be stopping at the following locations and times:

Belfast

Dublin

The campaign to end the use of animals in circuses has disclosed that around 150 animals are touring Ireland with travelling circuses. Many of these endure severe confinement in deprived and unnatural environments, inadequate diets and physical abuse.

On Monday 6th March 2006 anti-choice activists celebrated when South Dakota's governor signed into law one of the most restrictive abortion measures in the country, helping set up a court battle intended to challenge the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion.

The South Dakota law signed by Governor Mike Rounds makes it a crime for doctors to perform an abortion unless it is necessary to save the woman's life, with no exception in cases of rape or incest. read full story / add a comment
