Highshool students from over 30 highschools throughout NYC walked out today and thousands of them converged on Union Sq. where a rally was held. The walk-out was organised by NYC Youth Bloc which began as a protest against the W.E.F., but is now concentrating on the impending war. Highschool students adressed the rally as well as more seasoned activists. Speakers criticized cutbacks in education and social spending while there was unlimited funds to wage pemanent war.
