There's a medical workshop in the Teachers Club (Teachers Club:36 Parnell Square Upper) this friday from 2 till 4. The Teachers Club is on the west side of Parnell Sq.

There are bust cards and legal briefings availible in the media centre (as well as sign up sheets!) and we'll be giving them out on the various actions as well.

The legal group are meeting anyone who wants to volunteer as a legal observer in the media centre at 4, we'll move off then and have our meeting elsewhere.

sin é, well done to everyone so far, see ye on the streets! read full story / add a comment

At a DGN media group meeting last night we agreed (since nothing has been suggested so far) to name Mountjoy Square (NOT the Indymedia Centre) as a gathering point in case of real crisis.

Basically if everything goes pear-shaped people will need somewhere to go that is familiar, not easy to seal off, and not too isolated. The Square itself can of course be closed, but the streets are wide and there is little traffic.

Please circulate this widely. read full story / add a comment

I thought people might be interested in the following pieces which refer to the police infiltrating the Genoa protests to start trouble. They actually admited to doing this.

Now it turns out that U.S.-trained police were responsible for the worst of the bloodshed in Genoa but that is not making headlines -- at least not in the U.S.A.

In an official inquiry, police in Genoa have admitted to fabricating evidence against the G-8 activists, deploying provocateurs i read full story / add a comment

Fellow activists,

Since the Zapatista declaration in 1994 and the French public sector
workers strike in 1995 we have witnessed and taken part in a new social
movement . The movement has grown exponentially and deepened from the
60,000 that shut down the WTO in Seattle 1999 to the millions that marched
across the globe on February 15th last year.

Our strength has been our unity together in our common outrage and desire to change this incredibly corrupt and unequal society. We are united in our desires for a world
without war a world where the resources currently spent on military will
be spent on schools and hospitals, a world without borders where all
immigrants are welcome and a world without poverty. read full story / add a comment
