"- Protest Demonstration, Dame Street – expecting 5-6 people, 12 noon"
maybe the cops aren't as clueless after all
I think you'll find the Dublin City Centre 'Businessman's' Association (which businessman did you mean anyway?) is actually called the Dublin City Business Association. It has men (not just one man) and women as members. Women in business! Who'd have thought it?
E Mail circulated in a Dublin office today ....

I wonder do they regard employee's bikes as legitimate tragets?

Don't you read the night-time stories?
Now you seem to want soldiers on the street,
¿why don't you send your little soldiers to Iraq Bertie?
¿Can you assure the voters that Dr. O' as if ain't going to fry your balls?
¿Or do you think Cooper Flynne is like a needle in the eye enough?
¿Who deals with your hygeinic waste?
¿How much were you going to abuse our Constitution?
as they say.
Given the certain rogue element that is coming to Dublin this weekend, who's only goal is to cause chaos and devalue the rights of protestors, best to wait for a better opportunity.
The word on the street is there may be a major counter protest.
Living in Dublin and given the general atmosphere with MayDay activists blasting out their message all week on the street and generally being a nuisance with the litter of the leaflets and the noise pollution of their megaphones, anyone who is going to Dublin for any other reason apart from a protest should not come. Be safe, stay away.
all together now
Whose streets?
Our streets!
you are completely assured that the other forthcoming show sites and route were watchfully gaurded. Or have you not read many shakespeare history plays?
"The word on the street is there may be a major counter protest. "
Is this similar to the major counter protests that were held agains the bin tax protests? I suppose you are organising the Bush counter protests as well.
You must be in FG or the PD's.
Move along now, your time in Irish politics will soon to come to an end.
The counter-protest to the 'I won't pay for my waste to be collected' protest, got a crowd broadly similar in size to the crowds protesting at the paying for their waste to be collected.
i.e. About a dozen.
So now in the rewriting of history by the young turks of the right, it was a dozen people who brought the refuse collection to a standstill for two days throughout Dublin?
For the record at the bin tax counter protest there was about three outside the Gresham, while people were being turned away inside.
