The gardaí have announced that the Anti-War Ireland demonstration at Shannon on Friday evening will be allowed to go ahead. However, gardaí have indicated that protestors will be prevented from entering Shannon if they “look like they might cause trouble”. The people of Ireland need to send a "powerful message" of opposition to the current policies of the US administration in relation to Iraq, he said.
