Hi all, I can't be sure of the exact figures, but perhaps around 250 were at the pro-choice protest yesterday (February 16th) at the Gardens of Remembrance, Parnell Square. Here's an up to date Biog of Greg Palast who is coming to Dublin on March 7th to take part in a series of free public talks in the National College of Art and Design. Talk is at 6.30pm in the main lecture hall. He was pissed off with the mellow biog used in a previous post and forwarded this. Wow - that means he is checking out IMC.IE - does it? read full story / add a comment

They say that satire died when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, but if a Right-wing Norwegian MP has his way, the Nobel committee will be spitting on its grave. Norwegian MP Harald Tom Nesvik nominated Tony Blair and George W. Bush for the Nobel Peace Prize for "decisive action against terrorism, something I believe in the future will be the greatest threat to peace." read full story / add a comment
