Marxism 2008 Friday 7th - Sunday 9th November Marxism 2008, on the weekend of November 7th-9th in Dublin, could not be more timely. Anyone really believe that conditions are 'improving' in Iraq? The US and the UK appear to be growing weary of the expense and difficulty of war and noises off from the msm are that the job is done and other fatuous nonsense of that sort. The oil may very well be secured - well, as much as it can be, but life for Iraqis is absolutely dire. read full story / add a comment

Following a successful landing in Gaza on 23 August 2008 and an unsuccessful venture in September, the Free Gaza Movement is sailing again tomorrow, 28 October 2008, to break the blockade of Gaza and deliver food and medicines to the people.
