Last night Independent TDs put down a motion, supported by the Greens and Sinn Fein, one element of which was to condemn the imprisonment of Joe Higgins and Clare Daly. (Regrettably, as Sinn Fein pointed out it made no mention of other protestors. The responses from PD Ministers Harney and O'Malley are fascinating, an all out attack on the left, Higgins, the SP, even the shinners.
