A World Airways DC-10 plane carrying US military cargo to Kuwait was grounded Thursday, 14th February at Shannon and is still there. The cargo jet was scheduled to make a refuelling stop at Shannon anyway but had to make an emergency landing. Officially the department of foreign affairs must be asked for permission before someone can fly here with weapons aboard. Today they said that they still haven't received any such request regarding this flight. What could they be transporting to Kuwait? How can we find out? read full story / add a comment

Sunday 3rd February saw the 30th Bloody Sunday march, held on the nearest Sunday 30 years after 13 marchers were shot dead by the British army and another 14 wounded (one fatally).
