The Venezuelan Revolution has entered a new stage. After the election of December 2006, which the Bolivarian Movement won with 63% of the votes, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias proposed the unification of the different parties that constitute the Bolivarian Movement (Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela – PSUV). Last night at An Cruiscin Lan on Douglas St., the band Ilya K and Dj Doc Fiasco provided a great night's entertainment to an appreciative crowd composed of familiar faces and some new friends. White Water Shopping Centre is at the centre of an ongoing drama in Newbridge, County Kildare. The developer's, Ballymore Properties, have reneged on their promise to build a 6-screen cinema as part of the massive White Water Shopping Centre. On the Thirty First of July Florian L, Axel H and Oliver R were arrested and detained for the alleged attemmp to set fire to police vehicles in Brandenburg,They have been detained since that date. On the same night a lecturer in sociology named Dr Andrej Holm was removed from his apartment and taken to solitary confinement. his crime was guilt by association- three academics were also arrested- the accusation against all seven is:- Membership of a Terrorist Organisation -(129of the German Criminal Code) read full story / add a comment ![]()

This week saw a state wide campaign launched in Italy to stop anorexia nervosa the psychological eating condition which overwhelmingly but not exclusively is suffered by women. There have been many campaigns to stop anorexia since the condition first gained prominence just around post-war period when Europeans generally had enough to eat again. But the campaign launched by Oliviero Toscani of Benetton notoriety could just as easily be accused of body fascism & means something more. read full story / add a comment |
