Connolly was murdered because he put the rights of people before the rights of property. The political structure in Ireland puts the rights of property before people. The recently passed Jim Crow, anti-Traveller law criminalises a way of life whilst bigotry prevents them living any other way. There are no old Travellers because they have been killed by the Irish social system. What ended in Treblinka began with scapegoating. By whatever means necessary this on-going atrocity must be ended. Has the peoples army gone away? ... read full story / add a comment

Fianna Fail announced today that it is changing it's emblem to a condom because it more clearly reflects the government's political stance. A condom stands up to inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed. ... read full story / add a comment

It is very disconcerting to Irish working class leaders, like myself, especially those of us who come from the mainland, that very few, or none, of the Irish working class attend our various demos and protest, which are being held for their benefit. So here is my proposal: Let each organisation contribute some money to a central fund, and pay a stipend to each genuine worker who attends a protest, this will help the working class lads, and will also hasten the revolution, because, as theory shows, it cannot be held without the working class. ... read full story / add a comment

After two days when the first item on the evening TV news was the brutal Gardai attack on a Reclaim the Streets party it was not surprising that thousands joined a rally against police brutality outside Pearse St police station on Thursday night. The protest passed off peacefully despite paranoia from some quarters that there was 'bound to be trouble'. Saturday May 11 is International Boycott Israeli Goods (BIG) day. This is a global initiative, which aims to bring pressure on the Israeli government to 1)end its illegal occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem 2)stop its human rights violations and 3)comply with UN resolutions. We aim to bring awareness to the consumer that the choice of goods purchased can make a difference as it did to South Africa. By boycotting Israeli products and leisure tourism we are also letting the besieged Palestinian people know that they are not forgotten. ... read full story / add a comment
