"Fare Thee Ill, Kissinger Posted on December 13, 2002 @ 7:22PM Henry Kissinger has resigned from his post as the head of the 9/11 investigation commission. The problem, however, was not his shoddy track record of human rights violations, abuse of power, or clandestine warfare. He resigned because of his consulting firm. . Kissinger had been under pressure from families of 9/11 victims to reveal his client list to avoid any potential conflicts of interest. In his letter to Bush, he said, "It is clear that, although specific potential conflicts can be resolved in this manner, the controversy would quickly move to the consulting firm I have built and own. I have, therefore, concluded that I cannot accept the responsibility you proposed." The good news: Henry's history. Bad news: Poindexter and Abrams are still around " from www.alternet.org ... read full story / add a comment

We already made a big banner, 12 meters long, demanding "ZONA CATASTROFICA, XA!" and we hanged it in Riazor (football stadium) taking advantage of the Depor-Juve match and all the foreign media there. I watched the recorded match at home and the panoramic shots of the crowd would stop exactly when reaching our banner. Other networks didn’t broadcast a single shot either and I can assure you, you could read it from the whole stadium. On the 1st of December there was a demonstration in Santiago to ask for "catastrophic zone". ON TV NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT". If a power popular movement doesn’t grow to support this it will soon be forgotten (even though some foreign papers are claming that this is the worst environmental disaster in the history of Europe) ... read full story / add a comment
