Here is the New York Times' description of Faiz Muhammad, one of the just-released Afghan men that a reporter visited on October 27: Babbling at times like a child, the partially deaf, shriveled old man was unable to answer simple questions. He struggled to complete sentences and strained to hear words that were shouted at him. His faded mind kept failing him. Muhammad told journalists that he was 105 but he appeared to be in his late seventies. His advanced age, and obvious senility, vividly belied the "enemy combatant" label. WITCH HUNT against NIO civil servants! NIO civil servants face summary arrest and interrogation, if the state targets them, becos their relatives/friends maybe sympathetic to Sinn fein/SDLP or simply becos they are catholic living in republican areas. Cannabis-based drugs could be prescribed in the UK as early as 2003, following successful final-stage trials in patients with multiple sclerosis. Compared with standard treatments alone, the drugs significantly improved symptoms of MS and reduced pain caused by other types of nerve damage, GW Pharmaceuticals has announced.
