And that goes for you too, so, Irish friends: have a referendum! Because: "The European Commission is to put forward, tomorrow Tuesday 6 November, a proposal to collect personal data (PNR) on everyone flying in and out of the EU." Without informing 99% of the 490 million people in the 27 EU countries, a NO FLY control list is slyly shoved down their throat by the EU profiteers. ... read full story / add a comment

Yesterday, Galway Food Not Bombs in its ongoing campaign to attenuate the slaughter and war mongering of this world fed people for free in Shop street rather than murdered them with bombs. However, based on Fareed Zakaria opinion, next Sunday's banner will read; Tranquillisers Not Bombs : "the American discussion about Iran has lost all connection to reality. . . . Iran has an economy the size of Finland's. . . . It has not invaded a country since the late 18th century. The United States has a GDP that is 68 times larger and defense expenditures that are 110 times greater. Israel and every Arab country (except Syria and Iraq) are . . . allied against Iran. And yet we are to believe that Tehran is about to overturn the international system and replace it with an Islamo-fascist order? What planet are we on?." http://counterpunch.org/moayedian10272007.html ... read full story / add a comment

Afghanistan was the first target in 2001 in revenge for the 9/11 attacks on the US. Ireland offered Shannon airport to the US for this attack. The attack on Iraq had no such revenge motivation, just a grab for oil, as recently confirmed by Alan Greenspan, former US Treasury secretary. Ireland has allowed 1 million US troops pass through Shannon since March 2003. Now, Iran is the next likely target, probably within the next few months. Shannon and Irish airspace will again be used in direct and indirect support for any such attack on Iranian nuclear facilties. The fallout once again will be human lives, but this time there will also be nuclear fallout. It is long past the time for action to prevent Ireland's participation in these crimes against humanity. ... read full story / add a comment
