The IAWM and the GNAW are at eachothers throats, meanwhile the likes of the Labour Party, PANA etc are willing to accept a war if the UN Security Council does. The fact that a UN resolution won't stop bombs killing civilians doesn't seem to register. The media and government try to talk up a Red Menace, with the potential to infect decent law abiding citizens, who everyone admits are anti war but seemingly not anti-government. ... read full story / add a comment

On her way to NYC to meet Kofi Annan, Green MEP Patricia McKenna said today that members of the U.N. security council were being bullied and blackmailed by the U.S. into agreeing to a new U.N. resolution. This is a welcome departure by the Greens from the F.F. -F.G.-Labour-Sinn-Fein line that backing by the security council makes the impending mass murder of 1000s of Iraqi civilians legitiimate and justified. ... read full story / add a comment
