Around 300 workers and students took part in the 10 minute work stoppage against the war in University College Dublin at Mid-day. As this is outside of term time (so not many students are around) this was a reasonable turnout. Its now 10 hours since ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’ was launched. Tomahawk cruise missles fired from stealth bombers rain down on innocents in Baghdad. Our so-called leaders are currently massed in the capital, defending the use of our territory in the bombing of another nation. We are no longer observers. The blood is on our hands. This illegal, immoral & indefensible war has finally begun. Today is Day X. ... read full story / add a comment
