A World Airways DC-10 plane carrying US military cargo to Kuwait was grounded Thursday, 14th February at Shannon and is still there. The cargo jet was scheduled to make a refuelling stop at Shannon anyway but had to make an emergency landing. Officially the department of foreign affairs must be asked for permission before someone can fly here with weapons aboard.
