Itā€™s been something of a heady year in UCD, sometimes it feels like everything has happened so fast that a year has passed in a month. Then at other times it seems that those of us active in UCD are leaving this year with the experiences and memories of more than one year. It is difficult to have anything resembling an accurate mental chronology of it in my head. There exists just some vague collage of activity and the ensuing ups and downs. One of the lessons to draw from this is the need to archive and preserve what is happening around us, not out of any sense of egotism or over estimation of our own importance, but because of the need to pass on a legacy of struggle to future activists, no matter how big or insignificant the success or failure, a repository of method and struggle can only advance ... read full story / add a comment

The following is a sample complaint which I have drafted which you might find useful if you belive the FF/PD complicity in Bush's war is criminal. I'm not a lawyer, but I think this should be good enough for a criminal complaint. It is based on a complaint I submitted last December which is 'still with the DPP' I will put in the long version first, to cover everything I think is relevant. Will probably stick in a less detailed summary as a COMMENT. Feel free to suggest extra pieces. If you want to take this seriously then add in any personal experience you have of witnessing these acts. If you have not actually been struck by fear at the sight of US Special Forces and their aircraft in Ireland then omit that from your complaint. If we're going to do this right, lets be serious about it. ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

There has been discussion on whether St Patrick day should be used for anti-war demonstrations or left as a purely celebratary day. But with most in Ireland against the war its ironic to see the Dublin City Council put up white flags for peace along the river Liffy in Dublin the centre of celebrations (in photos below) while the government continues to support the US war http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~chewy/paddy/ ... read full story / add a comment

So what is a traitor doing in the White House as the Bush Junta prepares for war? Only a regime as corrupt as the Bush junta that voided the results of an election and has placed almost every indicted and convicted felon from the Reagan-Bush era into positions of power would have the audacity to parade a traitor in front of the news cameras as a patriot. ... read full story / add a comment
