The BBC is reporting that the US has offered $10bn in aid to help Israel out of the worst economic crisis since the country was created. They ignore UN resolution 242 for 30 years and they get aid. Why have they not been punished for their unending human rights abuses? Around 300 workers and students took part in the 10 minute work stoppage against the war in University College Dublin at Mid-day. As this is outside of term time (so not many students are around) this was a reasonable turnout. Speakers included a couple of academics, the president of the SIPTU UCD section and the incoming Students Union president. Why are RTE not showing the Dail debate in full? Why do we need to see Crossroads instead of the most important debate in the Dail for years? I couldn't get a straight answer from them.
