Don't Miss ARAN's Major 'Stop Canada Killing Seals' Protest

category dublin | animal rights | event notice author Friday April 17, 2009 21:15author by Stephan Wymore - Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN)author email arancampaigns at eircom dot net Report this post to the editors

We could be literally weeks away from an historic victory of what will be a total EU wide trade ban on seal products. Although we are not there yet, the signs are looking good! We need to keep up the momentum and as the hunt in Canada is taking place right now—we need to get back onto the streets once again and take advantage of a unique opportunity to expose shoppers and members of the public to Canada’s seal hunt—this is an issue most people will support, but it’s also an issue that has a unique opportunity to spur people to get active for animal rights and we are sure you’ll agree—we need to take advantage of just that!

ARAN Protests Canada's Seal Hunt, Dublin 2008

Please join ARAN for a lively peaceful protest on Dublin’s O’Connell Street in the coming weeks!

Date: Sunday, May 24th 2009
Time: 1pm Sharp – 3pm
Place: GPO, O’Connell Street, Dublin City Centre

We need you to come along and join us for an exciting two hour protest. Please come for as long as you can and help hold some eye-catching placards and banners that will be provided, or better still help us distribute vital educational leaflets to many of the would be curious passersby. As with all of ARAN’s events, they are welcoming, peaceful and effective! Be sure to come along by yourself or better still bring all your family, friends and even co-workers, we’ll introduce you to other compassionate ARAN supporters too, so you can get to meet other people also involved in helping animals—it’s going to be a great, lively event and we want the whole of O’Connell Street to take notice of our event and the plight of Canada’s baby seals. Who knows what heart’s and minds we will touch—forever!

Our plan will be to line the whole of O’Connell Street, so please be sure to RSVP, the more people we can get along to this event the better, it’s going to be great and it certainly should not be missed!
