Visit www.ARAN.ie to Learn More In 2006 Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN), Ireland's national grassroots animal protection group organized the first ever national stop cruelty to animals rally in Dublin. We were joined by huge numbers of our own members and supporters and were supported by many national animal rescue and respected protection groups who took time out of their busy schedule to be with us on December 10th 2006 to make a statement that cruelty to animals is not wanted here in Ireland. This year we have plans on staging another rally and we are promising it to be an even bigger and better event with even more speakers from other respected animal protection and rescue groups and we WANT YOU THERE as we need your support on the day to make a difference, lets make this peaceful and touching event a day to remember! Want to be kept informed about our 2008 event? Then log onto www.ARAN.ie today and we'll be sure to keep you posted. Spread the word far and wide! Thank you for all you do to help animals, Animal Rights Action Network (ARAN) |

Good on you ARAN. the more people speak out against cruelty to animals the better. But hats off also to the brave Tony Brady of Kildalkey, Co. Meath, who has taken a heroic stand against the stag hunters who inflict horrific suffering on animals as well as trespassing on farmers land. The well known potato grower has rallied landowners all over Meath to his cause...to secure an end to all hunting with hounds in his native county. He went public with a great statement that was carried in the Meath Chronicle (see text of that that elsewhere on Indymedia)
Tony can be contacted at 046-9435205. Believe me. He deserves all the support he can get in tackling the mighty stag hunting crowd. He and a few plucky locals in Kildalkey are attempting to secure protection for all hunted creatures in Co. Meath. Please support them...
Keep fighting!
In last saturdays Irish Times, the spokesperson for your group stated that she was a Green party rep. If the Greens are in government, how come we still have a barbaric fur trade? how come we still have unjustified animal experiments?
What are the greens doing about these issues? who are ARAN lobbying for change? Themselves by the way I see it!!
Hey guys, was touring, just seeing your posts! I LOVE ARAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the interest of justice and fair play i believe as i am mentioned in your articles i should have a right to reply. We did indeed have trouble with the ward union regarding tresspass but thankfully this problem has been resolved to our satisfaction. I am not now or have i ever been anti hunt and indeed the local hunts have hunted in this area for years without any trouble . Finally I resent this faceless (animal lovering mother of two) person including my contact details.
Yours Faithfully
Tony Brady
