Conservative MP Nick Timothy frets that Net Zero makes Britain vulnerable to sabotage by China and Russia. This misses the point, says Ben Pile. With self-harming policies like Net Zero we're our own worst enemy.

The Conservatives have told Keir Starmer that "it is not far-Right to stand up for the victims" of child sexual abuse and that "smearing people who raise those issues is exactly how this got covered up in the first place".

Justin Trudeau has resigned, having lost the confidence of his party. This is bad news for Starmer and another sign electorates are fed up with radical progressive zealotry dressed up as technocratic managerialism.

Get ready for four years of foam-flecked anti-Trump sneering and fury from the British media, predicts David Craig. The more successful Trump is at growing the U.S. economy, the more unhinged it will be.

As far as I can remember about 5 to 10 years ago NewScientist magazine carried an article on radioactive contamination somewhere in around London. It was caused when a small experimental reactor in the 1950s was decommisioned and it was dumped by contractors who dumped parts of it in an ordinary landfill dump.

This may well be the same place.

Actually here's a report from the Ecologist that describes the prosecution of the UK Atomic Energy Authority for dumping nuclear waste in a landfill in Scotland. So this type of activity was not unusual a number of years ago.
