What we have seen in Starmer since July is a petty, inhumane, almost spiteful man who considers himself morally superior to the mass of humanity. This, says Dr David McGrogan, was confirmed in spades yesterday.

' NO TO VIVISECTION ' DEMONSTRATION at the
IRISH HEALTH AND PHARMACEUTICAL AWARDS

Where: Berkley Court Hotel, Landsdowne Road. D.4
When: Thursday 26th October 2006

WHY?

Over 200 senior members of the pharmaceutical and medical professions are expected to attend the IHPA annual awards on Thursday 26 th October.
Our message is simple -NO TO ANIMAL EXPERIMEMTS.
There are THREE COMMERCIAL 'registered user establishments' ie. laboratories using animals for commercial purposes here in Ireland.
Those attending the IHPA awards will in all probability have links to these establishments. Some may be clients of these laboratories who are using them to test their products on animals. Others attending are possibly part of the directorship of these secretive contract testing laboratories.
'Government officials refuse to divulge WHO IS LICENSED TO KILL.'
There is absolutely no STATE monitoring to guard against unnecessary suffering that was carried out on 5699 animals in these 3 laboratories or in any of the other testing establishments in Ireland. (These THREE commercial testing laboratories in 2005 carried out testing on 4636 mice, 137 rats,48 rabbits,119 cats 167 dogs,172 horses, 61 pigs, 73 sheep and 286 cattle).
Due to the fact that approximately a total of 38,000 animals here in Ireland underwent laboratory experiments last year and that no official State monitoring to guard against unnecessary suffering was carried out.
· Only one-fifth of the trials were deemed essential under Irish law, figures have revealed. These tests are all about profit.
· Only 7,529 of the animal experiments were required by law to fulfil testing .
