Tar linn agus bí páirteach, tacaigh le Ógra Shinn Féin, agus bí linn sa Réabhlóid

From July 21-23 Ógra Shinn Féin Ceatharlach / Cill Choinnigh will be holding a memorial youth weekend in honour of those who died in the Hunger Strikes of 1981, those who were willing to make the supreme sacrafice in the Hunger Strikes of '80 and '81, and all of those who played their part, whatever it may have been, in the prison struggle from 1976 - 1981 and are still with us today to remember their fallen comrades.

The clár for the weekend features prominent guest speakers, including former H-Block POW and Lisburn City Councillor Paul Butler. Topics during the weekend range from the H-Block prison struggle to the Spanish Civil War.

Other events taking place during the weekend take in a memorial Hunger Strike march through Kilkenny City centre, addressed by key note speakers, such as Carlow / Kilkenny General Election candidate, Kathleen Funchion.

Also in the interest of building camraderie there will be a half-and-half game of hurling, and gaelic football to give those less skilled at the local sport of choice a fighting chance.

The weekend aims not only to educate young people about this pivotal period in our history but also gives them a chance to discuss and debate youth issues and become well-versed in issues that affect their comrades around the country.

The whole weekend will take place in Kilkenny City from 21-23 July. For further information contact Peadar: +353851443832 or [email protected]

Come along and play your part, support Ógra Shinn Féin, and join in the Revolution.

In bad taste.

"From July 21-23 Ógra Shinn Féin Ceatharlach / Cill Choinnigh will be holding a memorial youth weekend in honour of those who died in the Hunger Strikes of 1981, those who were willing to make the supreme sacrafice in the Hunger Strikes of '80 and '81, and all of those who played their part, whatever it may have been, in the prison struggle from 1976 - 1981 and are still with us today to remember their fallen comrades."

The HM PIRA surrenders its arms without a whimper.

The HM Provisional Sinn Féin signs the 98 GFA, and sell out the very ideals for which the men from 76-81 sacraficed themslves, 10 gave their lives.

Now you have the audacity to use those very same ideals to promote your own selfish interests in the rush to administer British rule in the occupied six counties and 26 county free state.

Now beacuse of this Traitorous Act we have Republican Prisoners again fighting for Political Status.

Support the prisoners and read the truth below.

Protest Continues in Maghaberry

On Monday 26th June 2006 Republican POW's in Maghaberry will begin the second phase of their Prison Protest and will be refusing to eat meals in their cells. The RPAG would like to stress that the POW's are not on Hunger Strike.

POW's on the Segregated wing are denied access to canteen facilities and are forced to eat meals in their cells in close proximity to the toilet.

This is a practical problem that we believe results from the policy of Controlled Movement enforced on the Segregated landing. This policy prevents any more than three prisoners being allowed out of their cells at any one time and requires a staff to prisoner ratio of 4:2 and 3:1. The RPAG consider that the policy of Controlled Movement is excessively restrictive and POW's will not tolerate these conditions any longer.

The Prison Protest began on Monday 19th June 2006 and will continue until the five demands outlined by the POW's are addressed.

1. FREE ASSOCIATION
2. END TO CONTROLLED MOVEMENT
3. RIGHT TO FULL TIME EDUCATION
4. SEPARATE VISITING FACILITY
5. RIGHT TO ORGANISE OUR OWN LANDINGS

POW's in Portlaoise Prison have expressed support for the Prison Protest and will begin a 24hour fast on Wednesday 28th June in solidarity with their comrades in Maghaberry. They have indicated that this will continue each week for the foreseeable future and in a statement issued from Portlaoise have called for support for the POW's in Maghaberry in their fight to win back Political Status.

I agree. Its crazy to even consider that the provisionals, or their youth movement, would give a flying fuck about Republican prisoners. Sure they've jettisoned everything else to do with Republicanism, might as well ignore the plight of Republican prisoners as well.
