Stardust Picket 6 - 8pm

Stardust picket @ The Silver Swan
Join the picket when you can
Monday to Friday 6 – 8pm

You may have received a letter recently from chopard International Limited, In this letter the Owners of chopard International Limited claim that they have nothing to do with the stardust.

We would like to refute this claim. The directors of chopard International Limited are Andrea Butterly, Glen Butterly and David Farrell. David Farrell is the husband of Andrea Butterly. In the letter which they have issued they make no mention of Glen Butterly as a director of the company.

As the Owners of the Maxol and Centra, they claim that they have nothing to do with the Silver Swan. However Andrea Butterly, has keys to the Silver Swan, and we have seen her going into it on at least one occasion.

The Butterly business Group are attempting to have an interim transfer of names from Patrick Butterly and Sons Ltd to Jason Gamble. We oppose anyone attempting to open another pub on the site where our friends and family’s died, regardless of what name they choose to call them selves.

We are appalled at this cynical attempt by the Butterly business group, to pull the wool over our eyes with this meaningless name change.

We ask you for your support in our fight for justice, and we ask you not to give your custom to the Maxol and Centra while the Butterly business group continue to behave in the insensitive way in which they have.

Come to the fundraiser on 8th April in Cieran’s G.A.A Club (Donnycarney) 8:30pm Tickets €15

I remember the Stardust tragedy, and in fact lost a young cousin in the fire. However I feel it is time to move on and stop trying to prevent people earning a living and creating employment. I heard some of the committee on fm104 last night and was appalled at their comments. It sounded like that if you dont agree with them you are against them, as only thir opinion seems to count with these people. I now wonder if they are really doing justice to the victims.

I applaud the comments above. I think you are 100% correct.

I'll never forget the aftermath of that faithful night and how my aunt, uncle and siblings searched hospital after hospital for their daughters and sisters hoping against all hope that their little girls would have been spared the horrors of that night. How these people ever carried on any sort of life after what they'd been through is a testimony to their fortitude and courage. NOW you have the audacity to suggest that they make way for the capitalists overlords that contributed this tragedy in the first place, to rebuild a lasting monument to remind the victims of how much they have lost. You are an uncompassionate human being my friend and I categorise you with other great thinkers on the 20th and 21st century George W Bush, Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler

What is the connection with the butterlys and Gamble - are they related in any way?
Gamble already has another lease on another pub, why the interest in this??
