To be fair the Belfast Anti-War Movement may be confused rather than dishonest on this point. After all, if they had heard her speak before they would never have guessed that she is a socialist of any stripe.

What difference does it make whether the PFJ or the JFP are "behind" Rose Gentle's appearance? Have you ever heard Rose Gentle's heartbreaking story in her own voice? Rose needs to be seen and heard everywhere by everyone. Just go hear Rose's message--please!
It may make a big difference in the long run. Because the SWP has been very succesful in destroying any chance of an effective Irish anti war movement by their antics in the IAWM. So if the long term goal is to stop the war and you think that it'll be easier to do it with an alliance of people that are working towards that goal then it'll be a lot easier to do it by stopping them repeating their same antics. The fact that they're still using front groups like this shows they haven't given up. If you remember the PFJ were rather unsound on their basic ideology and ended up proving to themselves and the audience that the Roman imperialists were actually not that bad. Ideology matters and has concrete effects. The lack of direct action at Shannon reflects the ideology of the trotskyist and liberal rump in Ireland.
