On tuesday many age out minors had to sign on at the GNIB but have been told to report back thursday to finalise their deportation, so we are expecting a deportation tomorrow

People were taken upstairs in the gnib to have an 'interview' with the nigerian embassy which means they are getting peoples travel documents ready for deportation. So again we will be there next thursday from 1.30pm and would ask people to come down for support.
One wonders if it's just Nigerians RAR are concerned about. This is twice we've seen "call to arms" by these people in the last few weeks on Indymedia.ie - both were false alarms and both concerned nigerians only. One wonders if they called out the Irish Times photographers for both occassions too for the latest stunts outside the GNIB...

It is true that McDowell said it. Bacik herself admitted so and it is cited in an issue of the village magazine, which McDowell didn't refute.
As for RAR only campaigning for Nigerians, that is utter nonsense and shows absolutely no knowledge of what we do. Next week we will be having a protest with asylum seekers from Afghanistan. We currently have cases involving people from all across eastern europe, africa, and asia and in recent months we have also had a few cases involving americans.

Provide me with an audio link or scan in a copy of what Mc Dowell said - basically prove it. In any case his obsession with Nigerian nationals is for a good reason, they make up the largest number of failed asylum seekers in this country. Mc Dowell is exercising his power to decide who can stay in what is a sovereign nation. Deportations are a part of life in every other EU country; they will continue to be a part of Ireland’s.
Eamonn it is foolish of you to think that their are no asylum seekers from America, or is it that you think the USA is the only America. Having said that we have also helped US citizens from claiming residency under the IBC scheme.

If an immigrant lands in another country first before they land in Ireland, then under the Dublin convertion, they must apply for asylum there. Ireland would not have been these immigrants first country of landing. Therefore its politically correct that they be sent back to those countries of landing.
