Toby Young was given his peerage for the wrong reason, says Alexander Norman. He deserved it for creating Lockdown Sceptics in April 2020 ? a lonely refuge from a world taking a new and cruel delight in preventing joy.

After a vote out with Paris, London has got it.

*council tax will increase.
*precarity will increase.
*urbanism will go on.
*al qeada will attack
*drugs will be used.
*U2 will play.

Details on exactly how much the British had to pay to get the gig, have not been leaked yet, but it is usually "a lot of dosh".

We normally protest these things.

"*U2 will play."

That is undoubtedly the worst part of the deal. Londoners have my deepest sympathy.

The economy is thriving
Firms are shutting down
GNP is on the up
Redundant people frown

Reality is different
From what the government say
They think that you will believe
Every word they bay

Tax will rise
So will your angst
From listening to these lies
Before you vote for Labour
Open up your eyes!!!

Everyone is struggling
Things are very bad
To tell us 'We've never had it so good'
Just makes me so mad!!!

I hope we get the Olympics
We'll be a laughing stock
We can't even run the underground
With our antiquated rolling stock

What about the homeless?
If we're in the public eye
Will we put them up in Downing Street
Or the Commons for the night?

We can't have the Worlds press, seeing them
It really wouldn't do
House them on a riverboat
Send them down To Kew

Blair has a house in Connaught Square
Where homeless boys could stay
He's having trouble finding a tenant
So the DHSS would pay

We could give them jobs as tourist guides
To show our guests around
'This is where I sleep each night
Down the underground'

They'll give the place a paint job
Tart it up like hell
It's hell already with this lot
As we all know so well

Things Can Only Get Better
Thats the song they sung
This lot did'nt even know the words
They are not my number one!!!

peace.

By 2012, you'll just have made it to voting age, so you may be more objective about such events.
