NAKED WOMAN-CHAINED AND 'BEATEN’PROTESTS THE ARRIVAL OF ANIMAL ACT CIRCUSES

Dublin – Wearing nothing but shackles and covered in "scars” and "bruises”as a result of violent "beatings”an everyday for animals in circuses, a curvy brunette will protest the arrival of animal act circuses into Dublin with a banner that reads “shackled, lonely, beaten” and directs onlookers and potential circus goers to a website www.captiveanimals.org whilst others hold signs reading – "the slave trade is alive and kicking” and chanting "boycott animal act circuses".

Date: Wednesday, 13 April
Time: 12.20pm
Place: Outside Main Entrance to St Stephens Green

In order to force wild animals to perform stressful and often painful acts, trainers use metal bullhooks, whips, muzzles and electric prods. These horribly cruel training methods are commonly used in Irish circuses all over the country. This is part of ARAN’s ongoing campaign around the country to show the misguided public that, animals in circuses have being taken from the wild at some stage in their life for a lifetime of boredom, misery, cheap tricks and cruelty. Animals in circuses really are not volunteers, they are slaves, confined to their ‘beast’ wagons for some 22 hours a day with no room to exercise compared to that of their homes in the wild. Animals in circuses regardless of them being 'born' in the circus, still have the instincts of their fellow companions in the wild, they like to roam for miles, go hunting for food and vegetation and raise their young.

“This cruelty, these beatings are what the circus is desperate to hide from the public,” says ARAN’s stripper for a cause Georgina Wallace. “These animals are not volunteers, they have been deprived of their precious freedom and beaten for a lifetime of cheap tricks, be an ele-friend boycott animal act circuses.”

ARAN’s ‘Naked’ circus campaign will also be visiting Cork, Galway, Belfast.

are the only people likely to have their interests aroused by this exhibitionist display of public nudity. Anyone out walking with their kids would do well to stay clear , not just because of the naked attention seekers and their display, but the perverts wholl be lurking about.

Chances are too if this is the animal rights crowd "curvy" is actually a thinly veiled code for FAT.

Down with this sort of thing.

Hopefully tubby will get arrested for some form of public order offence..maybe a lewd display of cellulite in public?

I can imagine the comments of the arresting cops..

I have to admit I do find it funny reading things like 'keep your children away, nudity is the devils work, hide your shame' type crap here on IMC.

theres nothing wrong with nudity in an appropriate context ie beach, the home, late night telly ,or even a dodgy club with consenting adults if thats really your bag...man.

But im sure many would agree advertising the fact that theres going to be some doll in the nip covered with chains in the middle of Dublin city centre in the middle of the afternoon just isnt right. Call me old fashioned, but naked bondage and S&M scenarios (shell be covered in bruises too !!) arent really appropriate for kids.

Most sensible people would agree, that is unless your name is Herman, you like to wear rubber from head to toe and you own your own dungeon.

Kids shouldnt have to look at that, never mind the fact that half the perverts in this country (which seems to be utterly plagued by the bastards )will be beating a path to Stephens green. Anyone out walking with their kids could end up standing beside god knows who, doing god knows what and who knows what type of foul comments might be made in front of them. The fact that theyre advertising this half baked stunt well in advance will absolutely guarantee a sleazy element lurking about.

Anyone with an entrepreneurial bent should be on hand selling leather gimp masks and whips, as Im sure therell be no shortage of interested buyers, wholl just happen to be strolling by , on their lunch hour.

My advice to Al and his muchachos is to have a big net handy on wednesday and head for the green, theyll clear up every flasher and fiddler in one swoop.

Circuses dont beat up women, full stop.

If this "curvy" lady (sounds like that comes out of the same code book as "bubbly" and "good personality" - the word attractive wasnt mentioned ) wants to highlight circus animals plight why not do it properly and get either a grizzly bear or a big elephant outfit. Chances are shed fit into it without a problem.

must say well done when i read this news piece. unfortunately it takes stunts like this to get the media and the public to STAND up and pay attention to what they are trying to get attention for and that is to stop the use of animals in circuses who have deprived these animals of their freedom and i do agree beatings and stuff are taking place, well done again guys thumbs up i say

Surely there is a better way to highlight causes about animal cruelty than combining a nude woman with bondage, voyeurism and degrading behaviour. This is shameful for all women and it is quite disgusting that she has felt she has to drop to this sort of behaviour for support. I bet it is men running the circus in any case.

in the nip in Limerick when she John Carmody and another were standing around in Cruises street on a Saturday morningMostly being ignored or riducled by the general public. They didnt hang around very long either.Maybe the animal nazis are kinky perves into S&M and gave her a jolly good seeing to before taking her out into the street for a public show.

Life would be so boring if it weren't for losers like you. Great to see you are still active only from your computer.
Animal nazis and kinky perves into S&M? You know how the saying goes..... sticks and stones may break our bones, but whips and chains excite us. But it still beats suspiciously stained mac wearers who get excitement from spying on people from the distance!
But remember one thing.... we never give up and we always win!!!

Anyone who intends to reply to Sabwatch's replies, don't bother. Your best bet is to ignore him. He's like an annoying itch that just won't go away. He also uses different names. But it's still easy to spot his childish drivel as his comments are usually about the same crap over and over again.

You must be getting under the animal libbers skin.If they have to resort to insults of the childish nature. Obvisouly they DO have somthing to hide, like their more nastier plans in the upcoming years.Dont worry I have been infiltrating their groups as well for years. You aint alone.
Our day will come!!

Here we go again..... Could it possibly be Sabwatch under a different name again? Hmmm, most definitely!!! And he'll come back with his usual reply when trying to say that it's not him...........yawn!

All the slaggers who have dismissed this protest probably admire the H block hunger strikers some of who went naked for years refusing to wear prison clothes. They also smeared their own shit on the walls. I know many of my friends who have no sympathy for the IRA or SF but admire the courage of the hunger strikers.

But the same people are mocking this protest. Irregardless of the issue I admire anyone who is willing to protest naked in this weather and with the prudish attudes of irish people and put up with the taunts that she had to suffer. If we are progressives we should only be concerned about the health risks to this animal liberation activist.
