ahern & blair

& the wee north.

Tony Blair proved he was still alive yesterday to the wider international community against very well placed sources with not inconsiderable influence who let it be believed he had been hung from a lamp-post.

He met the premier of the neighbouring state, Mr Bartholomew Patrick Ahern Taoiseach of Ireland Supreme Rascal and ex president of the European Union.

Mr Ahern has not given anyone any cause to believe the rumours that Blair has been intefered with or intimidated in any way.

During these moments of what appear to be dire crises for the english democratic system, as the ancient civil war factions line up against each other daily, the jolly pratter for which Ahern is famed must have come as a welcome but short relief.

the Taoiseach has neither confirmed nor denied that this truly is the moment for Irish boys and girls to take advantage of the obvious instability in the English homelands and offer family tourist discount passes on the LUAS.

if you go to the link you can read the French leftwing press and refute me, if not you can't read french but you'll like the photo of Putin anyway.

Quite a lot of interest in the European and American press in the listening device which was taken from the walls of a SF office in Anderstown.

disguised as part of the wall, the listening device has been presented to the british prime minister.

Let's be honest, I'm not exactly that reliable when it comes to calling Blair on a lamp-post. But one thing I have been reliable at is remembering how many incidents there have been in which the office of Blair has been directly implicated in eavesdropping individuals, political parties, political leaders, at least one United Nations Secretary General and of course our own Sinn Fein who have ( I think as a piss-taking libertarian with not a little experience of paranoia) excelled themselves in presenting this technology to HMG.

I'm impressed.

It sort of suggests to me that they have another one that's exactly the same which they have taken a close look at and maybe offering us night classes in someday.

And it brings me to the age old question, put by the man, in the photo the late Mr Mc Nally in his role as prime minister when asking his civil servant as he first picks up the phone in 10 downing street - "who listens to me?"

We know the answers to these sort of questions in indymedia land, and we also know that other Man, "our own" Ian Paisley doesn't give a shit who's bugging him, for they go to Hell anyway...

We are all impressed.

"Bertie "the Bart" Ahern has still not confirmed or denied that Blair has been intefered with or intimidated in any way..."
