On election day, the Galway Ad-Busters, with a smidgeon of
Custom made for the electorate !
Custom made for the electorate !

chutzpah, a deorum of class and a tinctere of, well, modesty, posted two messages to the electorate on Shop St - let's hope that the one spray painted on the litter bin bears fruit, as it were, and the Fianna Fail/PD fuckers are decimated in the results?.

Nice one: the twain and symbolism of old/new Ireland meeting head on, as it were at the pole of truth !

Sorry, I should have made it clear that the "ballot paper" in photo is/was a A3 size brown envelope - the unacceptable face of Fianna Fail. Fuck it, I also should have spelled "smidgeon" and "tinctere" correctly.

Your reward when it cometh, may not be of this world but when it does it will be in great measure-fiar fucken play te ya. Dublin had a good fwe arround fairview, Fianna fuckers investing in (sprayed out 'luas' greenbins etc replaced with) - investing in W A R.
IT wood do a heart good to behold such a sight across the country....

Wow, congratulations your a petty vandal, don't you realise that some poor guy has to clean that up after you. It doesn't do anything to the Fianna Fail or PD party. The only person it hurts is the guy who has to remove your stupid sign from the bin. Well done.

More of dis kinda t'ing please! Karl - fuck off you big eejit. All this pish about the "poor guy" that it hurts is beneath comment, except to say that your attempt to identify with the working man is pathetic.

nice one, that's nearly prize material, the foto of the pole, although you're right the brown paper envelope is not obvious.
well done anyway. i have to return to the auld sod for a while soon and i'm really dreading it, but you help me believe it'll be bearable.

hey guy, when the revolution is in full swing, you are one of the first candidates for social rehab.
we're gonna force you to eat healthy food, give you dental care, and your family too, and you're gonna get less tv, we'll make you read books and educate yourself . we're gonna teach you to tell the difference between factual information and manipulative bulls**t. you're gonna have less cops to stop parties and more colourful paint all over the place, so maybe YOU should see about emigrating while you still have the chance. won't be long now.

reagan is dead!

Sieg Heil. I absolutly disagree with you. For one you are a geek. This leads into my second point, that you need to find some small pokey little argument so you can give out to 'the left' bout something more.

In my view, the grafitti is just. Why? It is a form of political expression.

It actually looks good. It is not like he scrawled ' Jayo' or 'stinko' in crass bubble shaped lettering. It was neatly done.

Finally, the poor guy who has to remove that will be given a spray gun which will remove that in a manner of seconds.

Now try and find something real to debate about, or any you too busy giving head to your local Young PDs commandent ( or, worse again, Mary Hernia. Ughhh)

You goddamn nerd! ( Karl, NOT spray can dude)

Kino. Greetings Comrade.

you wrote:

The King of Stupidity goes to Guy Bague, the suburban psychopath.

What do you work as, a prison officer? You probably get off a lot on chains and discipline. Weird shit goes on in the suburbs..

' A massive piece of arrogance'

So when the various parties stick up posters slagging each other off, is this not a 'massive piece of arrogance?' I don't believe it to be arrogance, it's called free speech. As for bemoaning their enviornmental terrorism, what the f*ck do you call ripping up Carrickmines castle, or plans to schtick a big oul road through Tara?

I'd imagine your answer is common sense, because, like most bland, unassuming people, you see things like art, culture and heritage as something for the hippies.

You are just another example of nit picking nit wits. Go live in a faceless American suburb, where you can listen to power ballads all day, and listen to your Gawd fearing neighbours bemoan the French.

Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Hate

jeff, you asked:

' long live the people of north korea' In what context did you mean? Surley not an endorsement of Kim Jong Il.

exactly, just as
"long live the people of the republic of ireland!" would not be an endorsement of Bertie Ahern.

author by kinopublication date Sun Jun 13, 2004 20:49author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Jeff, i wonder why you chose to compliment the word scum here with 'communist'

would the same not apply: in, those poor people are going to die of shock when then realise how they've been duped by the scum masquerading as the republican govt. of ireland?

or what about,
those poor irish are going to die of shock and NOT go to heaven when then realise how they've been duped by that band of manipulating social criminal scum that call themselves christians?

but you're other points are spot on, although i would have left out the presumptuous insults about being a geek, giving head, and stereotyping the suburbs. - to me it only clouds what you're saying and oh, watch out for the "editors", who'll delete my comments along with yours if they decide to.

All of those types of 'scum' are up to the same game, control - make us believe it's not ok to be an artist, and it's ok do destroy everything beautiful and natural in the name of development, or growth. to put an oh so lovely shiny bin in the street to hide the fact that we consume and chuck away tons of unnecessary plastic every day, but it's ok coz we have a nice shiny bin to but those crisp packs and burger boxes into.

now we have a society that on the most part, finds it quite acceptable that DIRECT ORDERS such as "Vote No.1 party x" are placed on the streets, along with a foto so that you might chose based on a smile, or the colour of lipstick.. but these same people find it unacceptable to use a bit of humour, some green paint, a message a little more cryptic.

How i wish we could replace that terrible graffiti all over ireland with clever messages, with art that pleases the eye. something for our kids to grow up with other that grey walls and scribbles. the pictures above show at least a step in the right direction.

long live spray can dude!

Wow, congratulations your a petty vandal, don't you realise that some poor guy has to clean that up after you.

I always find this inevitability type argument strange – even at work you don’t HAVE to do anything its interesting how many things are “skipped” by council workers and some times stay up for years.

I’m also stumped by the mind numbing pettiness, stupidity and negativity of these type of comments.
I mean the councils main work will be hoovering up the posters the big partys “forget” to clean up – if some one else don’t get em first !

Also karl its "you're" as oppossed to "your" in that context
