These are great photos!
the weather was so rotten - from the look of determination and energy from the people photographed above you won't know.

were the SWP the only party there with banners? I dont think so. At least the state broadcaster, RTE, had the objectivity to show ALL of the diverse groups who took part. - Just cause its indymedia doesn't mean theres no spin!

Hi there

I took and posted the above photos. In response to the comments above, let me outline a few facts.

1. I am NOT associated in any way with Indymedia or any other group/party. I am simply a protestor who went to the demo with my camera and took photos. Please do not assume someone is associated with a group merely on the basis of a posting.

2. “Photos of every speaker except Mary Lou McDonald” – Correction: There where 4 more speakers at the event, which are not included in the photos above. Mary Lou McDonald was not purposely excluded for any reason. In fact, I took several photos of every speaker, but only posted the ones that were of good quality or ‘artistic effect’.

3. “Party Banners? Were the SWP the only party there with banners? Just cause its indymedia doesn't mean theres no spin!” Again same as No: 1. – If it appears that I only posted SWP banners, this is purely accidental.

I thought it was a really good demo, took some photos, posted them, etc. Nothing more-Nothing less.

It was not just the SWP. They were there but so were many other parties and non-aligned ordinary people.

Who had the flags that looked like the Anarchist Red/Black but had green in place of the red? Just curious, saw them on Saturday, never saw them before.

The Green and Black flag/star is the emblem of the anarcho-green movement- basically the same as the black and red but with more emphasis on ecological issues and less on class/syndicalism.
