Solar farms are an ecological disaster. Birds frequently fly into them, mistaking them for water, while electrocution and incineration are common. But you won't hear about this in the mainstream media, says Chris Morrison.

(Ab)using the bin tax campaign to launch your election John?? why not call ISN meeting to publicise your election? Afraid no-one would show up?

There is no mention of an electoral campaign in this posting(s). I think perhaps you should reduce your medication to a level where you stop hallucinating.

Its John MacCamley of the SP who abuses his position in the Finglas Anti Bin Tax Campaign. Lets not forget the little hatchet job MacCamley did on the ISN when John O'Neill and Cormac were in prison.

"There is no mention of an electoral campaign in this posting(s). "

Exactly my point. This is abusing the campaing. People will attend this meeting (when it eventually happens) with the belief they are attending a meeting about the bin tax. Instead JO'N will undoubtedly see this oas an attemt to launch his election campaign and talk ad infinitem about himself and his candiditure.

All I am saying is that bin tax meetings are bin tax meetings, by all means mention your candidature, but primarily the bin tax campaign meetings should be about organising where next in the campaign and where we are now etc.

Where did I say I was an SPer. I am actually and anarchist

Neither the SF, SP, ISN or indepedent members of the Finglas campaign will allow John O'Neill or any other prospective candidate use the campaign to their own electoral aims.
To date the Finglas campaign has been a model of cooperation and hopefully will continue to be so.
As to your suggestions about what bin tax meetings should be thanks for the advice but that is the way the campaign has been ran in Finglas to date.

It might not happen out in Finglas because of the presence of SF and the SP but in my area the SWP have been abusing bin tax meetings to launch their election campaigns. I turned up to one of the meetings and it was 75% about their election campaign with very little about the immenent non collection in South Dublin or the legal developments etc etc The SWp and some others believe that the elections are the next thing for the campaign and really do see it as a way of defeating bin tax.

You come on throwing hand grenades, saying John is going to do this and that without any factual background to the accusation and it turns out your beef is with the SWP. Anybody who was active in the campaign would have known that the Finglas campaign consistently advocated positions that were different to those advocated by the SWP. After all there were no SWP members involved in the Finglas campaign and to the best of my knowledge they have no intention of running a candidate in Finglas.
