The municipal elections are coming up in Spain 23/5/03 , and the above mentioned Gustavo de Aristegui will be canvassing for votes for the PP.

(The reconstructed fascist party of Aznar).

Spanish citizens like all citizens of the EU apart from Ireland are allowed the right to vote in the constitutiency of their birth, or registration regardless of the state of their residence.

Gustavo de Aristegui will use this occasion to push the Aznar agenda.

Ideas for posters/slogans

there are many of your peers imprisoned in Spain at the moment, they have been charged under anti-terrorism legislation for actions which occured during anti-globalisation protests over the last years or for resisting eviction.
Examples of thier crimes included paintbombing banks, graffiti and returning blows to policemen who were beating them.

The two cases which have attracted the most protest from all sections of the community, humanrights lawyers included are
-----------------Valencia and Tora.
slogan : SOLIDARITAT PRESOS TORÀ!
slogan : Libertad anarkistas de Valencia!

you could also mention the Antonio Morales case, Antonio Morales is a PP functionary in New York whose letter to all spanish citizens in NYC has just caused scandal, I'm translating this from a Catalan text so it is not exactly accurate but it will give you the gist;
"In Spain now, there is work for everyone even the Morrrocans". The word used was "morro" which is racist and equivalent to the "N" word.
c/f http://www.typicallyspanish.com/news.htm
other little jewels were "for a chinese [also a slang word for foreigner] in Columbia it is better to speak espanol than chinese or catalan".

You may also mention Galicia.
Oct 2002 the Prestige sank. you know about this.

the tourist offices are placing huge posters of the "clean" beaches of Galicia everywhere these beaches look like those in Kerry. The clean sand has been imported and placed over the contaminated sand beneath. Galicia has not been declared a disaster zone by the PP because it would detract from Spain's international image. The EU thus gives the money to the fishermen of Gailicia at about 5000pts a day. (30€)

-----------NUNCA MAIS!

put a black sack over your body and jump up and down with your friends pretending to be a "marea negra" black tide which arrives twice a day, ahs done for six months will do for four years more.

-----------Que Se Vayan Todos!
you pronounce that "K se Buy-en Toe does!"

that they all go.
Aznar and his party gave considerable support to the US/K war on Iraq which was illegal. Aznar's party ambition is to be the other kingdom in the US/K atlantic alliance to the detriment of our social and civil and democratic rights.

tell them.
