Honestly, which is more important? The security, prosperity, and peace of the Iraqi people, or doing as little as possible to increase the US's chances of failure?
The anti-war crowd has spoken...Iraqi people be damned! Stick it to the US.
No, it would be incredibly immoral to refuse to assist the people of Iraq based on your political dogma, James. And there's no point giving out in spades against the US invaders for violating the conventions and then calling on people not to help them be upheld. The conventions aren't there for the benfiit of the US army or of political activists loooking to score points, but for innocent civilians. I don't give a fuck about helpint or not helping the U.S., it's the people of Iraq that will suffer from political grandstanding like this. Haven't they suffered enough at the hands of the pro-war crowd without the anti-war activists letting them down as well?
"Iraqi peopl bedammed", where did I say that. That is was the pro mob say when they say "oh, som people will die".
It is the LEGAL OPBLIGATION of the OCCUPYING FORCE under THE GENEVA CONVENTION to care for the Iraqi people.
You are simply supporting the US in helping them with their LEGAL OBLIGATIONS. the Iraqi people need nothing but peace, food and water all of which cannot be supplied without US approval. At present they are carrying out deliberate sieges and shortages where they cannot win control. If you want to Que up to help them , Fine, but why not go and get the uniform .
