An Apology to Senator Terry Layden F.F.

Tarred with wrong brush! Senator Terry Layden Fianna Fail yesterday called for the Government to send a mission to Palestine to see at first hand what is going on there. This is a very brave stance considereing recent FF Central Command orders for total obedience to the "Regime".
No malice or personal insult was intended against Senator Layden but nonetheless he should not as a man of courage and foresight have been daubed with red paint. It is vital not to lose sight of the Real Villians. Senator Layden faced the crowd outside Dail Eireann that day when the real villians ran for safety, escorted by Gardai. He tried to talk and when daubed he did not press charges or even make any angry statements. I think it would be nice if people wrote to Mr Layden to express their support for him and to express our sorrow that he was targeted. I have no connection with Fianna Fail or Mr Layden . |

There is a pretty long record of FFers being 'radical' abroad but conservative at home. If he voted for refuelling he deserved the paint and as far as I'm aware all the FF crew voted for it.
has been tarred with the wrong brush
daubed in red green black or white.
many more have been arrested, manhandled, given a wallop, ignored, marginalised or teargassed, beaten, CSC gassed, baton charged, plastic bulleted, rubber bulleted, mace sprayed, water cannoned.
I like to see representatives represent their people. Good Luck to this Senator in Palestine....was he elected or appointed?....nice he didn't press charges.
as for apologies?
where does he stand on the vital issues?
in the 21st century one thinks maybe our representatives "elected" not "appointed" will get used to such interventions.
Paint never harmed anyone.
Not necessarily true ......
In 1999, after he sided with Nato's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia, Mr Joschka Fischer, German Foreign Minister, suffered a burst eardrum when an enraged fellow-Green hurled a paint bomb at him.
