CIA and FBI to have full arrest powers in Europe

A Press Release from Statewatch

Statewatch News online, press release, 9 April 2003

Statewatch is publishing today two major stories on EU-US cooperation
and
UK-US cooperation:

1. EU-USA agreements - the drafts on the table

- two agreements on extradition and mutual legal assistance being negotiated in secret

- extradition to USA to apply to any suspected offences bringing just a one year sentence

- USA successfully opposed any reference to the International Criminal Court or to Special Courts (Military Tribunals)

- data protection sidelined again: "A broad, categorical, or systematic application of data protection principles to refuse cooperation is.. precluded"

- FBI and other US agencies to operate in EU in joint investigation teams with full powers of search, surveillance and arrest

plus full-text of the draft agreements

see: http://www.statewatch.org/news/2003/apr/01Auseuag.htm

2. EU-USA and UK-USA

- UK parliament Committee refuses to scrutinise agreements in secret

- UK agrees new treaty with USA on extradition

- UK and USA prepare for "simultaneous attacks"

I can understand Britain, Italy and Spain and other pro-war admininstrations agreeing
to this, but why on earth would the French and the Germans?

Or is it as i suspect an agreement to allow Americans free reign in Europe whilst still giving them the power to refuse tehir citizens extradition to Europe? Would Henry Kissenger for example be given immunity? Will there be "diplomatic immunity" to anybody in America with a bank balance in excess of 6 figures?

the EU is trying to build its own re pressive superstate for its own globalised interests.
So the Germans and French like repressive legislation that allows them to frame or fit up their citizens just as much as the USA does. It is all about the system and control MAN, they even knew this even back in the sixties!

Somone posted somthing worth being concerned about.Actually EUROPOL is being modelled on the Fucking Bunch of Idiots[FBI].so going by the FBI methods of solving hostage situations [see ruby ridge, waco, and white washing Abbylara] We should be worried.

lone gunman you should be worried because effectively your boss is now the CIA/FBI, not MI5/6/FRU/Special branch, youse will be all under control of American superiors. I can see bitter resentment swelling up within the ranks of MI5/6/special branch/FRU, who are a law unto themselves. Look what happened when Bill Lowry was booted out of the RUC. When english long streaks of piss like Colin crapporn, Derek Bulldog boulroot, can just waltz into Northern Ireland and get the top jobs, jobs which youse rank and file RUC have been striving to achieve for decades, all that experience and dedication flushed down the drain, with the arrival of English johnny come latelys. How must you feel?, being told you're years of dedication and service are not appreciated, that the old RUC was an embarrasment and a mistake, something to be ashamed of. If I was you I'd feel very disheartened and sad, maybe suicidal and psychotic. Hope this pushes you over the edge

Is it an accident that just when an important subject is being aired on indymedia a fruitcake such as "by Hugh odd bored" makes an off the wall coment or 2 and the discussion usually stops there. A person involved with indymedia told me this was a tactic used by labour party
assholes to wreck debates? It certainly seems to work most of the time.

You will see it is Trotskyites, especially of the Orthodox Socialist Party variety who disrupt debates with nonsense. Particularly when they cant answer a question.

Such as : Peter Haddens touting activities at an Anti War protest; Peter Hadden running around shutting up protestors who were booing the ICTU speaker who called for support for the troops; the SP attacks on Labour and SF for overseeing cutbacks, when in fact Militant implemented cutbacks in Liverpool Council.

Raise these issues and redherrings will shoal in.
