LEAVE BARRY ANDREWS ALONE

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Thursday April 03, 2003 17:16author by Tim Andrews - Independentauthor email paddylost at yahoo dot co dot ukauthor address Blackrockauthor phone none Report this post to the editors

As a supporter of this site I was very disappointed to see people were picketing Barry Andrews office last week. Calling him a war mongerer is out of line as he was the only FF td to put down a Dail motion seeking the Govt not to support the war in Iraq without a 2nd UN resolution. This must be some better targets within FF than Barry and he seems like such a nice young fellow as well.

He is a member of Fianna Fáil. He continues to support this government. If he had any balls and was in any way genuine he would resign from the whip.

No he is a legitimate target as is any councillor or senator of FF or PD. We should also target any Labour or FG representatives that support this war.

I agree to a certain extent with your article as Barry has spoken out against Irish foreign policy being dictated by the U.S but he is complicit in the use of Shannon and is disobeying the will of his constituents by doing so therefore we had every right to protest outside his office and to make him feel uncomfortable for a change.

Yea, you're right, how could we have been so worng. Many apologies for our hastiness. Is there anything we can do to make up for his distress?

F.F. founded by Dev, the great 1916 leader, is historically an anti-imperial party. If F.F. was pro empire would Sinn Fein be wanting to into coalition with them?

Ive spoken to everyone that WAS there at the Barry Andrews protest last Thursday and we are in unilateral agreement that Eoin O M was most definitely not there so please ignore his comments as he is a liar. Apart from exposing infiltrators on indymedia Dunlaoghaire against the war held two more Barry Andrews protests and on both occasions he refused to attend his public clinic which in my view is neglecting his constituents. SHAME on you Barry

excuse me, Barry WAS there last week, though he wasn't there this week, also I want to know why the we don't hit Mary Hanafin T.D. Government Chief Whip's clinics or Fiona O'Malley's clinic's? (if she has any)????

I was outside BA's clinic the week before last with about 15 others. I was handing out my own leaflets and stayed about 20mins.

Eimear, grow up and get some political opinions.

She is a bit like harney and has absolutely no qualms about the vast quantities of innocent Iraqi blood that is being shed so that her business cronies such as the McEvaddy brothers make a killing from their refueling of the bloody US war machine.

Bullshit you were not there and you were not seen by anyone plus there was nobody giving out leaflets it was a small protest and everyone knew each other if your going to put our efforts down then pick a protest thats bigger you intransigent ignoramous!!!
